Victorian Scroll Arm Sofa
This sofa had been in the clients family for years and they wanted it to be reupholstered traditionally in a modern colour.
The sofa was stripped right back to the frame and built back up using traditional methods and materials.
What the client said…
This sofa has been in my family since 1971 — rescued, loved, and finally given the restoration it deserved.
Louise stripped it back to the frame and re-upholstered it using traditional methods: webbing, hessian, coir, hair, wool guard, calico, and a beautiful
blue wool from Bute.
She organised collection and delivery, guided me through the different fabric options, and helped me find something I absolutely love.
She kept me updated throughout every stage, and the result is stunning. The fabric and wood enhance each other perfectly, the seat is firm and comfortable, and the double piping is a beautiful finishing touch.
I’m absolutely delighted — and so happy Louise used traditional
methods throughout.
